Arts & Projects [art is what we are]

The Arts! This is the common denominator for all theatre companies involved in the network Crossing The Line. Our companies are artistically led, professional theatres and at the same time committed to meeting the challenges of producing, playing and touring theatre performed by artists that are disabled and non-disabled. There are two active projects in the network: Ogmius and Trasna Na Line.

About us & our Partners [it's a network!]

Crossing The Line is a network of six European theatre companies: all leaders in the field of working with learning disabled artists. The partners are Moomsteatern in Sweden, Compagnie de L’Oiseau Mouche in France, Mind The Gap in UK, Blue Teapot Theatre Company in Ireland, Theater Babel Rotterdam in Holland and Teatr 21 in Poland.

Activities [stuff we do together]

The project Crossing The Line ran over a period of 2,5 years, from Dec 2014 to May 2017. Within that time three theatre companies came together on several occasions in activities to share experiences and learn from each other. We have been sharing and learning about our organisations, as artists and from a wider world perspective. In this activities section you will find blog posts from meetings and residencies done within the project.

This section will soon be updated with the Activities made within the projects Ogmius and Trasna Na Line.

Crossing the Line Festival [join us!]

Crossing the Line Festival is a pan-European Theatre Festival celebrating artists with intellectual disabilities! The first festival took place in Roubaix in 2017 and the second edition was to take place in Galway, Ireland. It was produced by Blue Teapot Theatre Company in Galway as part of the European Capital of Culture over 4 days in May 2020. Unfortunately the festival had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. We are now hoping to move the festival to May 2021 and will be back with more information as soon as it has been clearer what the future holds.
